Psychoanalysis?

My approach starts from the position that whatever may be troubling you, and however distressed you might be feeling, there is a good reason for it, and one that must be taken seriously.   The work of analysis is not to get rid of your ‘problems’ as soon as possible, but rather to explore and work through them in order for you to gain a better understanding of where they come from and how they function in your life.

I have a particular interest in working with trauma, which can manifest itself in a variety of ways, some of them quite complex.  These can include anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and dissociation.  I also have experience of working with a range of psychotic and personality disorders.

The therapy I offer has no time restrictions, and you can come as often as you like.  My aim is to offer you a very special type of space within which you can talk freely about what’s really worrying you in a way that works best for you.
