I have over 20 years experience of working with people who have all been troubled in some way or another in their lives.
I am an Associate Member of the Centre for Freudian Analysis and Research (CFAR), where I undertook my psychoanalytic training, a Full Clinical Member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and a Member of the Council for Psychoanalysis and Jungian Analysis (CPJA). I am also a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am bound by the codes of ethics of all these organisations.
Before starting in private practice I worked for three and a half years as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist for the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust. Prior to that I spent several years working as a front line mental health worker for the London Borough of Richmond and as a counsellor for Richmond Counselling Service. More recently I have worked as a manager for a psychological therapies service in Surrey.
I also run a blog called Touching the Real, which explores a wide range of issues related to psychoanalysis, psychotherapy and the wider mental health field.
